Milestones

A year that set you on a new journey

New often came with much stimulation

Many shocking surprises

Pushing boundaries

Pushing you

And you’ll soon find yourself

On the other side

And admire your new capabilities

Around

She was being carried away by the tides
No matter how much control she tried to exercise

The flux was more
Than she could resist

Neither today
Nor in this lifetime

No, you don’t leave
All those years behind

You only leap into
A new life

That would take
Most of your time

And you will still
Have your bunch

And all their affection
Whenever you look around

To be

Away from the perceptions
Of the world around us

And it’s opinions
Of how things should be

Of What’s beautiful
What isn’t

How it should be
And it shouldn’t

She reminds herself
Of what she had learnt

To be herself.

Ahead

She was moving towards tomorrow
And moving away from today

Journeys that came
With a crazy mix of feelings

To look forward
To the little known

While being carried away
From the very known

To move ahead
Because you’ve been waiting to

Or so

Unconditional

She moved apart
Said they should be
On their own
Different path

He let her go
But found his way
Back to her
In two days henceforth

Asked if he could walk
Next to her
If she would like
Or he would say no more

For Him

All things that the mind
Revolted against

The heart whispered
Do it for him

And she did, not once
but over and over again

Only she didn’t know yet
What it meant to do it for him

New leaves

He gave new leaves
After months of being as is,
She adopted him
From a neighborhood nursery

Watered and wished
To see some growth,
But saw no sign of it
Maybe it was better to replace it

But she could feel it take roots
Although she couldn’t see it,
Maybe he was waiting
For the summer

Maybe he was waiting
For a change in place,
She thanked him for growing
He thanked her for believing

To write

She sat to ponder
Why didn’t she write

Off late, she got so occupied
Passing through life

That to sit and feel
And to feel and write

Became a luxury
Of a rare kind

Instinct

Even when it appeared otherwise
The heart knew what was right

The truth would be realised
Over a period of time

Missing

Where was he
How was he

The charm that
Was him

Was lost under
The bright lights

That were shone
Over him

The charm that was him
Needed no lights

The brightness that he
Burried underneath

To let those lights outside
To take the lead
